In Kaohsiung City on June 24, a 27-year-old male driver named Ding accidentally crashed into a transformer due to a moment of distraction, resulting in a major power outage for 826 households. Taiwan Power Company dispatched personnel for repairs, with police confirming that Ding tested negative for alcohol. However, Taiwan Power intends to seek compensation for repair costs and damages from Ding. The accident caused a significant disruption in power supply, but most households had their power restored within hours.
