Taiwan Power Company to Reuse Rare 'Sealed Water Copper Strips' for New Product Launch of Sun Moon Lake Hydraulic Pen

At the launch event of the new product Sun Moon Lake hydraulic pen by Taiwan Power Company's creative department, utilizing the retired 'sealed water copper strips' unique to the Mingtan and Daguan hydropower plants for design in collaboration with Taiwanese stationery brand YSTUDIO. The 'sealed water copper strips' used to control water flow in the generator units are replaced every 8 to 10 years and the recycled material was transformed into unique pens, pen holders, and gyro-shaped desk accessories. This initiative aligns with Taiwan Power Company's efforts in promoting a circular economy through unique collaborations with local designers and the reuse of retired equipment for innovative products.
