A fire in a seven-story residential building in New Taipei City's Tucheng District resulted in three deaths, suspected to be caused by a lithium battery exploding while charging. Taiwan Power Corporation's fan page listed charging 'NG' behaviors to remind people to avoid charging unsupervised or overnight while sleeping and to replace old or damaged charging cables. The corporation emphasized the importance of paying attention to devices while charging and immediately addressing any unusual odors or swelling, as well as using original charging cables for safety. They advised against charging overnight and provided tips on choosing reliable power banks.
