President Lai Ching-te's approval ratings have dropped below 50% due to lacking innovative policies and focusing heavily on controversial topics such as cross-strait relations and national defense, according to a recent survey by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation. Former legislator Guo Zheng-liang revealed that within the ruling Democratic Progressive Party, there are concerns over the government's approach and a call for new policies to address domestic issues.
