The reasons for the decline include challenges in domestic issues, ineffective agenda setting, difficulties in balancing party duties, and initial performance struggles from the new cabinet. These findings point to a significant warning for President Lai, similar to the initial declines experienced by former President Tsai Ing-wen during her terms. The survey also highlights demographic trends in age, education background, regional ethnicity, and political party support that contribute to the decline in public support for President Lai.
