President Tsai Ing-wen has been in office for a month, but according to the latest poll by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, her popularity has dropped by nearly 10 percentage points compared to last month, losing about 2 million supporters. Legislator Guo Zhengliang analyzed on a political talk show that there are different voices within the Democratic Progressive Party regarding Tsai's lack of innovative policies and intense focus on controversial issues such as cross-strait relations and national defense. This has led to concerns and a lack of anticipation among the public. Guo Zhengliang pointed out that focusing solely on these two issues is challenging to gain public support, especially when no new policies are being presented.
