Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation released a recent survey showing that 48.2% support President Lai Ching-te's handling of national affairs. However, his approval rating plummeted by 9.8% in just one month, with nearly 2 million people withdrawing their support. The survey also revealed opinions on the Premier Su Tseng-chang's cabinet performance and indicated a higher level of support for Lai among older age groups. Comparisons were drawn to past presidents and their approval trends, emphasizing the significant drop in support for Lai early in his term, reflecting a similar pattern seen with previous leaders like Tsai Ing-wen. The survey was conducted by Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation and Shanshui Opinion Study Company, with a sample size of 1070 people and a margin of error of about 3%.
