Taiwan Railway Company's First Year as a State-Owned Enterprise: Revenue Increases by 6 Billion, On-Time Performance Exceeds 98%, and Volume Increases by 10%

Since the Taiwan Railway Administration was restructured into the state-owned Taiwan Railway Company at the beginning of this year, its operating revenue has reached 13.225 billion in the first five months, showing a 6.18 billion increase from the same period last year, with a 4.9% growth. The company's core revenue from passenger and freight services increased by 5.75%, and its asset development and ancillary revenue grew by 0.21%. The on-time performance of trains reached 98.26%, and the average daily passenger volume increased by about 11.63% compared to last year, surpassing the 2019 level.
