A Taiwan Railway Express (TRA) train traveling from Rui Sui to Shulin collided with falling rocks at the K51 section inside the Qing Shui Tunnel. The train conductor suffered a fractured leg, and passengers had to evacuate in the dark within the tunnel, waiting for rescue. Passengers described smelling the odor of rocks rubbing against the train carriages. TRA officials are investigating the cause of the accident, with the West Line temporarily closed for traffic, and the East Line operating with single-track two-way passage.
