Taiwan Railway Hualien Section Restores Double-Lane Traffic between He-Ren and Chongde, Slows Down at Three Disaster Sites

According to Yahoo News on July 2, 2024, at 8:44 PM, the Taiwan Railway Hualien section between He-Ren and Chongde was affected by landslides submerging the tracks. After clearing the Eastbound line yesterday morning, the Westbound line was also repaired this morning, restoring double-lane traffic. Trains are passing at a slow speed of 30 km/h through the three disaster sites to ensure safe travel. Both the Suhua Highway Chongde section and the railway section between Chongde and He-Ren were disrupted by landslides on the night of the 1st.
