Today at around 4:50 pm, Taiwan Railway Train No. 229 (3000 Series Tzu-Chiang) collided with falling rocks at K51 inside the Qingshui Tunnel on the west Zhengxian section between Chongde and Horen. The train conductor was struck by the falling rocks, sustaining fractures and injuries, while 6 others suffered minor injuries. A Level 1 emergency response team has been set up by Taiwan Railways to handle the situation, with further details pending clarification. Passengers are evacuating the train urgently, with approximately 500 passengers onboard and arrangements being made to transfer them to Chongde and Xincheng stations.
