Taiwan Railways Limited's Puyuma Express derailed on June 21, resulting in 9 injuries including the driver. Due to the train being stuck in a tunnel, track resumption is challenging. Repair units from Hualien and Yilan have been mobilized, with full line clearance estimated by noon on the following day. 525 passengers were transferred to other trains. 9 injured passengers were hospitalized while others were sent home. Track maintenance difficulty is attributed to debris from the river invasion caused by heavy rainfall.
