The Ministry of Finance in Taiwan has increased the duty-free allowance for inbound passengers from 20,000 to 35,000 yuan starting June 26, aiming to align with inflation and international trends. Customs estimates an annual tax loss of 3.05 million yuan due to this adjustment. The revision also includes amendments to regulations on money laundering prevention and customs reporting. The changes are seen as beneficial for both the public and administrative agencies.
