Reported 11 months ago

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan has cautioned its citizens about the risks of violating local laws in Dubai, particularly in relation to the emirate's strict regulations on alcohol consumption. Taiwanese travelers were advised to be mindful of adhering to Dubai's legal requirements, including the need for an Alcohol License for vendors, the minimum age of 21 for consumers, and limitations on where alcohol can be consumed. Director-General Anthony Ho emphasized the consequences faced by Taiwanese nationals for breaching these laws, urging travelers to seek assistance from Taiwanese diplomatic missions in emergencies. The advisory aims to ensure the safety and well-being of Taiwanese citizens in light of Dubai's increasing popularity as a travel destination.
