Taiwan Resolves Shortage of Infusion Bags by Importing First Batch of 100,000 Bags from Malaysia

Reported about 1 year ago

Yung Feng Chemical's factory in Xinzhuang stopped production, leading to a shortage of 1.5 million large packs of normal saline per month. To address this, Taiwan's Ministry of Health initiated a special importing project involving 7 companies. The first batch of 100,000 bags arrived from Malaysia, and a second batch from Vietnam is expected. The Ministry aims to import a total of 216,000 bags to compensate for the shortage caused by the factory's halt in production. Other qualified local companies are also increasing production to meet the clinical demand.
