The 2025 global university rankings by U.S. News & World Report revealed that 11 Taiwanese universities are among the top 1000 globally, with China Medical University and Asia University ranking in the top 5 in Taiwan. Notably, China Medical University ranks second only to National Taiwan University. The success of these universities was attributed to mutual support in resources and enhancing teaching and research capabilities within the 'China-Asia United University System.'
