During the earthquake on April 3, many buildings in Taiwan were impacted, but the 3rd tallest building in Taiwan, 'Nanshan Plaza' in Taipei's Xinyi District, has a damping system similar to Taipei 101, costing 100 million NTD, making it resilient against strong quakes. The unveiling of its equipment floor with white damping devices reveals their effectiveness in reducing building sway during tremors or strong winds, preventing discomfort for occupants. Compared to Taipei 101's damping system, Nanshan Plaza's is smaller and lighter, yet provides essential stability during natural disasters.
