According to the FTNN News Network on June 25, 2024, the Control Yuan announced it would request a constitutional interpretation on the parliamentary reform legislation passed through bipartisan cooperation. Nationalist Party legislator Hsu Yu-chen criticized the Democratic Progressive Party, stating they are trying to derail parliamentary reform by various means, including seeking a constitutional interpretation. The Council of Grand Justices has clarified that the investigative powers of the Legislative Yuan and the Control Yuan are different. Hsu also criticized the Control Yuan for being selective in investigations and accused it of becoming a tool of the ruling party. Hsu emphasized that the parliamentary reform legislation, which grants investigative and hearing powers to the Legislative Yuan, represents the will of the people and should be respected. More than half the nation supports the reform, urging the Control Yuan to reconsider and protect the outcomes of parliamentary reform.
