Taiwan's Control Yuan imposes fines on Su Tseng-chang and Lin Wei-jou for inaccurate declaration of properties

The Control Yuan has announced the latest issue of the Clean Government Journal, listing confirmed cases of fines for public officials for inaccurate declaration of assets, including former Democratic Progressive Party legislator Su Tseng-chang, former Kuomintang legislator Lin Wei-jou, Taipei City Police Chief Li Hsihe, and former President of the Taiwan High Court Shi Muqin. Su was fined 4 million NT dollars and Lin was fined 1.2 million NT dollars for their offenses. The Control Yuan found that Su had failed to truthfully declare seven deposits held in another person's name, and Lin had inaccurately reported 13 land transactions. Li, while serving as the Chief of Criminal Police at the National Police Agency, failed to declare one cash deposit, and Shi did not report two debts owed by his spouse. The fines ranged from 60,000 NT dollars to 1.2 million NT dollars.
