During his visit to the U.S., Taiwan's Economic Minister Guo Zhuhui led a delegation to attend a reception held by Taiwan's representative office, aiming to assist small and medium-sized enterprises in overseas expansion. He emphasized the importance of passing the Taiwan-U.S. Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement (ADTA) quickly to alleviate tax burdens. Guo also mentioned Taiwan's semiconductor industry's presence in the U.S. and highlighted Taiwan's innovative capabilities beyond manufacturing. The ADTA aims to eliminate double taxation for companies and employees conducting business in both the U.S. and Taiwan, strengthening the U.S.' competitive position against China.
