Following controversies surrounding the revival of three solid recovered fuel (SRF) power plants in Taoyuan, Taiwan's Ministry of Environment has announced amendments to strengthen the management of fuel classification and to specify air pollution control devices required for different types of fuels. Emphasizing on curbing air pollution from using recycled fuels, the ministry also disclosed three proposed amendments related to fuel mixing standards, fuel requirements, and boiler emission standards. The amendments aim to improve regulations for air pollution control and promote zero waste strategies in the recycling fuel industry, with a 14-day public consultation period scheduled for feedback.
