Cathay Life has completed the highest level of energy efficiency assessment for its Taichung Urai building, becoming a 'Nearly Zero-Carbon Building' with 50% more energy savings compared to other office buildings. The building also sources all remaining electricity from green energy, achieving zero emissions and becoming Taiwan's first certified 'Net Zero Building.' Cathay Life aims to create low-carbon, zero-carbon smart buildings and has already obtained 17 green building certifications by 2024, generating over 1 million kWh of solar energy annually. The company is committed to sustainable design and energy efficiency, with a focus on green energy networks and renewable energy procurement agreements, all in line with international ESG assessments and carbon reduction goals.
