Taiwan's Formosa Plastics kicked off its shareholders' meeting, with Chairman Chen Bao-lang personally presiding over it on June 14. Despite last year's challenges and a less favorable economic outlook this year, Formosa Plastics managed to accumulate experiences in production and sales scheduling to adapt to market changes, expecting profits of less than 10 billion NT dollars in the first five months but anticipating a better second half. Despite setbacks in refining profits and slight declines in stock prices, the company is focusing on eco-friendly initiatives and AI application guided by AI's digital and sustainable goals to promote the industry's transition towards a greener operation model.
