Taiwan's Heping Power Plant Shuts Down Due to Lightning Strike After Denying Power Shortage

Amid recent power supply incidents in Taiwan, the Heping Power Plant in Hualien suddenly shut down due to a lightning strike. Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) explained that the outage was caused by the lightning strike affecting the external power transmission lines. After emergency repairs, the power plant has since resumed operations. Taipower emphasized that despite the incident, there is no power shortage and the power supply remains stable in Taiwan.
