Reported 8 months ago

As Taiwan officially entered summer, high temperatures and afternoon thunderstorms have been plaguing the nation, causing concerns among the public. A Facebook page, '圖地', disclosed that the hottest city in Taiwan is Tainan, with temperatures surpassing 30 degrees for over half of the year. The data from 1991 to 2020 showed Tainan at the top with 186 days over 30 degrees, followed by Kaohsiung and Chiayi. The absence of Pingtung in the top ranks was explained by the relatively short period of its meteorological station establishment. Netizens were surprised by the results, expecting Pingtung to be the hottest city.
