Speculation arises that the Chairman of Taiwan's Institute for Information Industry (III) may change hands with rumors suggesting that Huang Chung-ming, President of Tainan Loyal Friends Club and former Chairman of WiseCore Technology, will be appointed as the new Chairman. An extraordinary board meeting is said to be scheduled next week for the election, but III has remained tight-lipped about the matter. III, a crucial government think tank, is currently focused on developing strategic plans as a third-party collaborating organization to aid in industrial transformation and order maintenance, with plans to enhance Taiwan's international competitiveness in various areas such as carbon border adjustment mechanism and international cybersecurity standards for local businesses to enter global markets efficiently. While the board and supervisors' election was held just last July with Lee Shih-Kuang remaining as Chairman, speculations of personnel changes have emerged following the new government taking office. Huang Chung-ming is rumored to potentially assume the Chairman position. Despite an upcoming board meeting in July, there are talks of an interim board meeting to discuss the new personnel changes, with III preferring not to comment on the matter.
