Kaohsiung City Health Bureau received a tip-off in June 10, 2024, leading to an inspection at Abc Dental Alliance clinic in Fengshan, where an illegal doctor was caught treating a patient for cavities. The investigation uncovered three types of illegal doctors at Abc Dental Alliance: those without internship qualifications, those illegally practicing without supervision, and unqualified interns. These illegal doctors were using official doctors' names with added numbers to deceive patients and fraudulently claim health insurance fees. The scandal involved the hiring of unauthorized individuals, like a student posing as a dentist without proper qualifications, at the behest of the group's director.
