Taiwan's largest shopping center development project, D-ONE, held a groundbreaking ceremony on June 30, 2024, with the participation of the Chairman of the First Global Development Company, Yuanshima Eiichi, and Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen among others. With an investment of 26 billion Taiwanese dollars, D-ONE will be the largest department store in Taiwan, featuring a shopping mall, a Broadway-grade cinema, a 5-star hotel, and an A-grade office building, among other facilities. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026, creating numerous job opportunities and positively impacting the local economy.
