Claimed as the largest commercial project in the high-speed rail station area in Taiwan, the Taichung High-Speed Rail Entertainment Shopping City held a groundbreaking ceremony on 6/30, featuring a picnic music bazaar, parent-child games, and water park. The shopping city, covering an area equivalent to 20 football fields, is expected to generate annual revenue of 35 billion and provide 18,000 job opportunities. With an investment of up to 26 billion, the shopping city spans 48,000 ping, accommodating 800 to 1,000 businesses including 60 international brands. The planned development involves a triple-integrated concept, connecting internationally renowned shopping centers, a five-star hotel, a multi-functional convention center, theater, and museum facilities, aiming for the first-phase shopping center to be operational by the end of 2026.
