Amid recent controversies over charity seats on Taipei's public transportation systems leading to conflicts, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced plans to amend the law, renaming 'Charity Seats' to 'Priority Seats' to widen the scope beyond just disabled individuals, aiming to reduce disputes and expand the range of priority seating users. The Judicial Reform and Care Association voiced concerns over the proposed changes, indicating that renaming the seats will not address the underlying problems effectively.
