In response to a production halt by Yong Fong Chemical that led to a shortage of IV solutions, Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare initiated an emergency import program, with the first batch of 100,000 bags from Malaysia scheduled to arrive at Taipei Port tonight, and a second batch of 216,000 bags from Vietnam expected to reach Taiwan by the 15th. With predictions of ongoing shortages until October, efforts are being made to increase production capacity domestically and import solutions to meet demands. The ministry aims to ensure sufficient supplies for medical institutions amidst the crisis.
