The Ministry of the Interior in Taiwan presented the 'Enhancement Plan for Fire and Rescue Safety' at the Executive Yuan's meeting, outlining strategies to enhance fire and rescue safety through short, medium, and long-term measures including strengthening public safety, job security, increasing personnel, acquiring equipment, replacing vehicles, upgrading facilities, and enhancing training. The proposed 22 mid-term projects amount to approximately 26 billion NT dollars, focusing on improving disaster relief capabilities, reinforcing management systems, and promoting a culture of fire safety to reduce injuries and casualties among firefighters.
