According to a report by CNBC, Taiwan, a global semiconductor hub, is facing concerns over power shortages, potentially impacting the semiconductor industry worldwide. However, Minister of Economic Affairs Guo Zhizhui stated that the current electricity supply is sufficient, with precise calculations taken into account for the increased power demand from AI. Guo emphasized that Taiwan's prepared electricity supply is adequate, dispelling worries about potential disruptions to global industries. Guo also addressed other issues during a special report to the Legislative Yuan, including environmental concerns and local government decisions regarding industrial operations in Taiwan.
