Taiwan's power supply issue has drawn global attention, with American financial media reporting concerns about possible electricity shortages in Taiwan, a major semiconductor hub, that could hinder global semiconductor market development and disrupt supply chains, impacting industries worldwide. Minister of Economic Affairs Guo Chi-Hui addressed these concerns, emphasizing that Taiwan has enough electricity. During a recent visit to the Legislative Yuan, Guo Chi-Hui reiterated that Taiwan's current capacity is adequate despite reports of potential shortages affecting AI technology development. He assured that calculations show Taiwan is prepared with sufficient electricity to support future needs.
