During recent legislative inquiries, Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Taiwan Power Company were asked how long Taiwan’s electricity could sustain in the event of war. Both emphasized the importance of being prepared at all times and not revealing specific strategies for sustainability, focusing on maintaining readiness. Taiwan Power Company stated that they have various contingency plans in place for different scenarios, continuously strengthening resilience in aspects like power supply, fuel reserves, and grid management. They reiterated that stable power supply is crucial for national security and called for support from all sectors for power infrastructure improvements and enhancement of national security resilience.
