Actor Hu Ge from China is visiting Taiwan after a 6-year gap, with reports indicating that Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen actively assisted in the process, coordinating with units such as the Mainland Affairs Council, Immigration Agency, and Ministry of Culture. However, the Mainland Affairs Council clarified that all applications for mainland residents to visit Taiwan are reviewed by the council and relevant agencies, with no involvement from the Taiwan Affairs Office. Hu Ge is set to participate in a 'Youth Dialogue' event during his visit, with Taiwan's media industry group extending the invitation. The Mainland Affairs Council expressed a positive attitude towards ongoing cultural exchanges between the two sides, aiming for more constructive interactions and mutual understanding.
