Taiwan's Representative to Japan, Hsiao Bi-khim, narrowly escaped a lightning strike while flying back to Japan from Taiwan. The plane encountered a thunderstorm and was hit by lightning, causing a loud bang that made Hsiao momentarily consider writing a farewell letter. Fortunately, the aircraft's lightning rod diverted the strike, ensuring everyone's safety on board.
