According to Yahoo News, Taiwan's Representative to the US, Yu Da-chien, was accused of misusing public funds, sparking discussions. Premier Su Tseng-chang stated in an interview that if any illegal activities are found, they will be handled promptly and explained to the public. President Tsai Ing-wen has instructed the Executive Yuan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate the situation and take appropriate action. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the purchases made by Yu Da-chien were in compliance with regulations and for official duties, and denied allegations of attempting to purchase a Cadillac against regulations.
