A recent economic outlook survey report by the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research indicates that prices in the second half of this year may continue to remain high, even surpassing the levels of the first half. Consequently, prominent Taiwanese yogurt ice cream shop 'Snow Factory' and one of Taichung's top ten gourmet egg roll shops, 'Blue Bird Travel,' have announced price adjustments starting July 1, prompting many group-buying communities to rush to place orders before the end of June. Snow Factory mentioned that due to the government's increase in industrial electricity prices, their electricity costs have surged by nearly 20%, leading to a 6-8% increase in product prices on average, with items like probiotics and yogurt drinks seeing price hikes. Blue Bird Travel, awarded as one of the top ten souvenirs in 2024, also stated that due to rising raw material and operating costs, they will raise prices from July 1 to maintain product quality without compromising due to cost pressures.
