Taiwan's Ugliest Train Station? Su Jun-bin Speaks Up for Zhongli Station

Reported 9 months ago

Taoyuan Deputy Mayor Su Jun-bin attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Zhongli Station and the opening ceremony of its temporary front station. Su mentioned the complexity of Zhongli Station's structure due to various expansions and additions over time, comparing it to Howl's Moving Castle. Disagreeing with claims that it is the ugliest station in Taiwan, Su highlighted its high efficiency in servicing 43,000 passengers daily with limited space, declaring it the most cost-effective and hardworking station. He also called for central support in improving transportation, education, and medical resources in Taoyuan. With the completion of the temporary front station after 2 years, officials anticipate Taoyuan's development into a key city in Taiwan with enhanced railway services.
