The 2024 MIZUNO Marathon Relay, known as Taiwan's version of Hakone Ekiden and the country's longest-standing relay road race event, is scheduled to kick off on November 17 at the Pacific Construction Second Parking Lot in Wanli District, New Taipei City. The event was officially launched at a press conference on June 28 with the presence of renowned Taiwanese male marathon runner Yeh Jih-Hung. The relay race, now in its 17th edition, features an 8-leg team relay format covering a total distance of 43 kilometers, aiming to promote cooperation and perseverance among participants. Various categories including social, college, high school, corporate, and leisure groups have been introduced this year with a total prize money of 500,000 NT dollars, encouraging more people to engage in running for health and competition.
