As the new era of AI in everything arrives, even cooking a meal involves surprising AI integration. Business Weekly exclusively visited Taiwan's kitchenware king, Sakura, at their AI kitchen in Neihu, Taipei. Different from traditional kitchens, this new kitchen automates functions such as adjusting exhaust fans to reduce smoke when cooking, automatically turning off stoves for safety, and ensuring fresh indoor air post-cooking. By utilizing AI, Sakura tapped into big data from customers and changes in Taiwan's housing market, leading to record high revenue and net profit. Their AI products, such as oil fume extractors and gas stove monitors, are driving growth, with high-end models expected to reach a new revenue share of 57%. Through digitalizing internal processes and utilizing data analysis, Sakura responded to the trend of smaller residential spaces merging living, dining, and kitchen areas, resulting in a significant market success.
