Taiwan Semiconductor Company Searched and Chairman Released on Bail of 400,000 NT Dollars for Allegedly Stealing Trade Secrets from Competitor

On June 20, 2024, at 9:40 pm, the chairman of Ju Teng International Technology, Yali Chen, was released on bail of 400,000 NT dollars. The Taipei District Prosecutor's Office directed the Criminal Investigation Bureau to search Ju Teng International Technology and the residences of two individuals in connection with allegedly stealing semiconductor chemical material trade secrets from a competitor by enticing their general manager with a competing relationship. After extensive interrogation, both individuals were released on bail amounting to 400,000 NT dollars. The investigation is ongoing as the company cooperates fully with authorities.
