Taiwan Semiconductor Fuels Rush for Orders with 3nm Technology

Reported about 1 year ago

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) is seeing a surge in demand as major clients such as Apple, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and AMD have reportedly reserved TSMC's 3nm production capacity until 2026. Industry insiders note the tight supply situation for TSMC's 3nm technology and expect monthly production capacity to increase to 120,000 to 180,000 wafers. Orders for the 3nm technology mainly come from Apple, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and AMD, with Apple set to release the iPhone 16 series, potentially the first iPhone with AI capabilities, fueling expectations of a new wave of iPhone purchases among Apple enthusiasts.
