On June 22, 2024, the International Cooperation and Development Foundation launched a program to assist the economic recovery and women's empowerment in Latin America and the Caribbean post-pandemic, with Taiwanese beauty and hair professionals traveling to Guatemala for exchange. By introducing Taiwan's experiences to Latin America and the Caribbean, including sending stylists from Taiwan's Golden Bell, Golden Horse, and Golden Melody Awards, the program aims to empower women in the region who were most affected by the pandemic's impact on the service industry. Through education and training, financial assistance, and technical support, the project aims to enhance women's skills, provide opportunities for entrepreneurship, and contribute to economic recovery and stability in the region.
