Taiwan Shin Kong's Shareholders' Meeting Completes Director Election, Former Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Meihua Elected as Independent Director with High Votes

At Taiwan Shin Kong's shareholders' meeting today, Chairman Wu Tung-liang was re-elected with the highest votes, and former Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Meihua was elected as an independent director with the second-highest votes, reflecting the company's gesture of respect towards her. This marks Wang Meihua as the third former Economic Affairs Minister to become an independent director at Taiwan Shin Kong, following in the footsteps of Wang Chih-kang and Lin Yi-fu. The meeting also approved a cash dividend of NT$0.6 per share, with a stock dividend of NT$0.4, totaling NT$1 in dividends. Looking towards 2024, Chairman Wu Tung-liang expressed optimism about the global economy and the bank's overseas expansion plans, with the recently opened Taiwan Bank Fukuoka Branch in Japan.
