The Hai Long project announced on June 27, 2024, that Taiwan Shipbuilding has successfully completed 63 locally-produced piles and transferred them to the project in the second quarter, marking a significant milestone. With an array of maritime engineering professionals and personnel, including around 40 vessels and 1,000 to 1,200 individuals, preparations are underway to complete the installation of all 21 substructures for the 2A wind field by the end of this year, with turbine installation expected to commence next year. This project, aiming to contribute to Taiwan's renewable energy goals for 2026-2035, is deemed crucial in the nation's transition to sustainable energy sources.
