On July 1, 2024, the Taiwan Stock Exchange announced that the total number of stock trading accounts in June reached a historic high of 12.896 million, with a significant increase of 64,572 accounts in a single month. The structure of stock investors in Taiwan continues to get younger, with under 19-year-old accounts increasing by 75% in three years, and those under 30 accounting for 57% of new accounts. With the stock market experiencing significant growth in recent years, especially with a 30% increase in the first half of the year, Taiwan is entering a new era of investment. This shift is evident as more young investors enter the market and the total number of stock accounts approaches one-third of the total population.
