On June 23, 2024, the Taiwan Stock Exchange continued to reach new highs with the overall market capitalization of stock funds expanding to 527.7 billion NTD. The size of Taiwan Stock ETF funds also increased by 104.2 billion NTD to 2.02 trillion NTD, showing a 43% year-to-date growth rate. Passive funds in the Taiwanese stock market have simultaneously reached a historic high. The popularity and size of ETF funds have been increasing month by month, with the size growing by over a trillion NTD in May alone, ranking second only to bond ETF funds and marking a substantial 43.12% growth since the beginning of the year.
