Taiwan stock market fell by 45.83 points on July 1st following a downtrend, dropping below the 23000 level, with the lowest point hitting 22833.78 points. Despite some electronics stocks like Foxconn and Hon Hai opening higher, TSMC also showing signs of improvement, the overall trend was downward alongside Mediatek and Delta Electronics. Today, the only strong performers were the information services and optoelectronics sectors, with 8 optoelectronics stocks hitting the daily limit up. In contrast with the rising US stock markets, Taiwan's market struggled with the weighted electronics stocks leading the decline.
